As I prepare for the move, one of the most difficult things has been finding ways to clear out my home without contributing to waste. Ensuring that items don’t end up in the landfill. Reducing the harm caused by senseless waste in the world.
I’ve been doing a lot of work to find organizations that accept gently-used items, beyond Goodwill & Savers. Organizations that take in items like eyeglasses, and that do pickups.
Being a conscientious citizen of the world is exhausting.
