Why is it so easy to let things slide in the home or with personal belongings? Why do we accept our own negligence when it comes to ourselves?
For example: I have been living in my house for 6 years now, and have never done regular yard maintenance. I simply let my weeds overgrow until I get sick of looking at them and then pull. Same with routine maintenance and cleaning of my car. Outside of oil changes, I just kind of let it rock.
However, when I began prepping my home and getting things ready for my move, there were so many things that I needed to get on a more automated system. I added above ground watering to my plants. Why hadn’t I ever done that before? I would just water them manually every MWF, and while I liked the routine, automating sooner would have made my life so much easier. I set up monthly landscaping maintenance, and got my car washed, internally and externally.
Simple things that would’ve made my life so much easier the entire time I have been living here, and instead others get to reap the benefits. Another lesson that I will take with me to the future.
