Dimples on the Edge

Throughout preparing for this move, I have been doing my best not to contribute to waste with items I no longer need. So I have been looking up organizations and ways to give to minimize waste.

An org called HelpVets picked up some clothing items and I used OfferUp and Facebook Marketplace to sell some things I was able to. Naturally, I gave a lot of things away to friends.

The thing that I have seen and found most difficult is that it is incredibly hard to find ways to donate or properly recycle items like textiles, mattresses, and other items. Understandably, these are items that are more prone to pests.

Mostly though, my main gripe is that our cities (at least in America) do not have adequate systems for reducing waste and if those systems do exist, they are not shared.
