Recently, several artists & creators I enjoy have been celebrated and lauded in powerful ways and have seen their dreams realized. What I have noticed is that these folks have been in the game for over a decade and are now getting the flowers and honors they deserve.

It serves as a reminder to me that the work for me should have started 10 years ago, but the next best time to start is NOW. I cannot make any differences about the work I haven’t done, but I ensure that now I do the work. So that in a decade, I can look back on me now and be proud of the fact that I was dedicated.

If I can spend this time watching TV and rewatching my comfort shows, I can do the work to make my parents proud and build a life where my brothers and I can live in peace and luxury.

So now, Sunday, February 25, 2024, I am claiming my future and building towards a life that I can enjoy.
